10.00 Depart Telford

10.20 Arrive at the Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford and visit the new Cold War Exhibition. Covering more than 8,000 square metres, the distinctive new building houses many Cold War aircraft like this Gloster Javelin and Britain’s three ‘V bombers’ – the Vulcan, Victor and Valiant and tells the story of the tensions between political superpowers during a large part of the 20th century.

11.20 Coffee at the museum cafe

11.50 A short drive will take you to Weston Park, an award winning 17th Century stately home set in beautiful gardens with a Medieval deer park, lakes and follies. Enjoy a guided tour of the house with its stunning antiques and original paintings.

12.30 Lunch is served in the opulent Orangery at the rear of the house with views of the gardens. Sample the home made Victorian lemonade and traditional recipies served with contemporary style.

13.30 Explore the beautiful Gardens before returning to Telford.

14.00 Arrive in Telford, and use the rest of the afternoon to explore Telford at your leisure.
