Congratulations on your 60th, Elizabeth (19th March 2012)

Elizabeth has been invited to Hadley Park House Hotel, in Shropshire, this June – where she will be treated like a queen…for free.

Part of a special programme of events for 2012, the offer has been extended to the first lady, called Elizabeth, who contacts Hadley Park House Hotel to tell them she will be celebrating her Diamond wedding anniversary in the same week that HRH The Queen will mark 60 years on the throne.

The Celebration Package up for grabs is (fittingly) valued at £2,012 – and will feature the party of a lifetime for up to 50 guests.

It will include a red carpet entrance; three-course meal, bucks fizz, glass of house wine or soft drinks on arrival; a decorated cake with cake stand and knife, choice of linen napkins and table cloths; a table floral arrangement to match the chosen colour scheme; a Master of Ceremonies; the services of a dedicated event planner; venue hire; and preferential accommodation rates with a complimentary suite for the night if eleven bedrooms or more are booked.

The hotel hit the national headlines for a similar offer last year, when it announced it would host the wedding of a couple named William and Katherine for free.

The Celebration Package on offer on Tuesday, June 5th, is just one small part of the hotel’s plans to make sure the Diamond Jubilee is celebrated in style this summer at Hadley Park House in Telford.

A Gala Dinner Jubilee Tasting Evening on Friday, June 8th, for example, will mark The Queen’s 60 years on the throne.  The special 6-course Best of British evening meal – one for every glorious decade – is priced at £45 per head, and will also feature music and fireworks.

The week will also begin and end with Sunday lunch, at a special price of £20.12 per head.

Owners Mark and Geraldine Lewis are now looking forward to revealing more of their plans for the coming year, which will help to put The Diamond Jubilee, Olympics, Leap Year, and the “Best of British Food” and “Best of British Humour” under the spotlight.
