Calling all young detectives - we need your help!

(28th March 2012)

Calling all young detectives - we need your help!

If you’re currently searching for something to keep the younger members of the family entertained this Easter, why not give them a day out at the Royal Air Force Museum, Cosford? This Easter holiday, children can play detective as they take part in the ‘Cold War Investigation’ trail, which includes a prize for every successful participant.

The ‘Cold War Investigation’ trail guides children around the Museum’s National Cold War Exhibition with a series of cryptic clues and quizzes. Each detective will need to correctly answer each of the questions and identify the secret code word in order to claim their prize. So, if you have any young detectives in your family and are up for the challenge, pick up your trail from the admissions desk on arrival. Participation is FREE of charge!

In addition to this, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy at the Museum, including over 70 aircraft on display plus the award winning National Cold War Exhibition, with some aircraft suspended in flying attitudes. The Museum is a day out that everyone will enjoy whatever the weather; children and adults alike will be fascinated by fun ‘n’ flight. This free interactive area is packed with hands on excitement; it’s the easy way to answer all those questions about how aircraft stay up in the air. Whether younger visitors are testing their ability to fly an aircraft or guiding a Hercules to a drop zone, they will be learning, improving their co-ordination and most importantly of all having fun.

As an added extra to your visit, why not treat the whole family to a ride on our thrilling flight simulator, a great way to get an instant flying experience for just £2.75. Soar into the sky with the Red Arrows or ride in a Eurofighter, the most advanced aircraft ever built.

For more information on the ‘Cold War Investigation’ trail or the Museum, please call 01902 376200 or visit The Museum is open daily from 10am – 6pm. Entry to the Museum is FREE.
