Ha-Ha-Ha-Hadley Park House Hotel (23rd April 2012)

Hadley Park House Hotel, Shropshire, will be where Basil Fawlty meets Father Ted in 2012. It’s all part of the hotel’s Best of British season, and a further step towards Hadley Park becoming known as one of the very best venues in Britain to see live re-enactments of some classic TV comedy.

Basil Fawlty, Manuel and Sybil brought another evening of mayhem and madness to the hotel last month.

And on May 19th, Ted & Co promise to bring the house down with an evening of high-energy improvisation, audience participation and perfect comedy timing - honed to perfection on Craggy Island, of course, and now served-up alongside a delicious three course meal.

“An Evening With Ted & Co” comes direct from its hugely successful sell-out run at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Guests arriving at Hadley Park House Hotel on May 19th will enjoy a delicious three-course meal in the company of the extravagant Father Ted Crilly, dim-witted Father Dougal McGuire, alcoholic Father Jack Hackett and their tea-loving housekeeper, Mrs Doyle.

The highly acclaimed professional cast have perfected the characters’ mannerisms and now promise an evening of “satire, surrealism and good old-fashioned comedy”.

Tickets are priced at £39.50 per person, and include the full performance, and a three-course meal in the hotel’s award-winning restaurant.  Guests who would like to stay overnight in Hadley Park House Hotel (“Ah - go on, go on, go on….”!) are being offered a special rate of just £80 per room - with an upgrade also available for £45 (to include a bottle of champagne, and bed-and-breakfast in an Executive Room).

The Fawlty Towers experience, meanwhile, has become an established part Hadley Park House Hotel’s events calendar in the last couple of years, and is likely to return again later this year – along with the possible appearance of René Artois and friends (and enemies!) in a re-enactment of the ever popular ‘Allo ‘Allo!.

Anyone wanting to buy a ticket (“Ah - you will, you will, you will….”!) for Ted & Co on May 19th should telephone 01952-677269; or e-mail info@hadleypark.co.uk.  Demand is expected to be high, and early booking is highly recommended.
