DOROTHY CLIVE GARDEN TO HOST CHILDREN'S GARDEN GAMES THROUGHOUT JULY AND AUGUST 2012 (17th July 2012)

The Dorothy Clive Garden is hosting Garden Games for children, daily from Saturday 21st July to Sunday 2nd September 2012. There are also educational garden trails for children. This special event admits all children up to the age of 18 for free and accompanying adult visitors at the discounted entrance price of £3.00.

Games such as Lawn Croquet, Giant Ludo, Boules, Snakes and Ladders, Croqkick, Not Just Cricket & Garden Quoits will be available in the spacious paddock area for all children to play with and enjoy.

A play area for children is also at the back of the garden tea room, including a robust ‘buzz tower’ with rock climber, log ramp and slide and soft rubber mulch flooring which 100% recycled and toy safe.

Visitors can also delight in the intimate and informal gardens set amidst glorious countryside with seasonal plant delights such as crocosmia, daylilies and heliopsis and various other herbaceous plants.

The Tea Room, which is situated in the heart of the garden, will be open from 11.00am to 5.00pm daily. A selection of locally sourced and homemade food is available daily such as freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, summer salads, Staffordshire oatcakes and a selection of delicious filings and cakes such as carrot, blueberry or  the traditional coffee and walnut cake.
