Bank Holiday Family Fun at Acton Scott (23rd August 2012)

Join us at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm for a 3-day festival celebrating the Food, Farming and Arts of the Shropshire Hills this Bank Holiday weekend.

Jodie Griffith, Project Officer for Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership and festival organiser explains “Each day has a different theme; Saturday is Music, Poetry and Prose, Sunday will feature Arts and Crafts, and Monday we will be celebrating Food and Farming.”

Jodie continued “Entry into Acton Scott Historic Working Farm and the 3 day festival is only £7 for adults, £4.50 for children (under 5s free) and family tickets start from £22.50.   This special ticket price allows you to enjoy the range of activities over the 3-day festival for the price of one.”

We hope you will join us this Bank Holiday weekend and enjoy storytelling, folklore, arts and crafts activities, facepainting, cookery sessions, music and lots more.  All of the activities are free, and there will be local arts and crafts stall on Sunday and food and drink stalls on Monday.”

Remember, the Shropshire Hills Shuttle buses stop at Acton Scott.  Use the Shuttle website to plan your journey www.shropshirehillsshuttles.co.uk.
