Spectacular Autumn Colour at the Dorothy Clive Garden (15th October 2012)

Spectacular Autumn Colour at the Dorothy Clive Garden

The Dorothy Clive Garden is currently hosting a glorious display of Autumn colour.

Curator, Marcus Chilton-Jones, said, ‘Autumn often provides the most interesting visual spectacle of the gardening year. This year, due to the perfect weather conditions of bright sunny days and cold and frosty nights - which creates a deeper, more intense array of colours - we are seeing a spectacular display of vivid orange, russet reds and golden colours at the Dorothy Clive Garden.  A glut of berries, hips and other fruits adorning garden plants are combining with the brightly coloured late flowering perennials and glorious tree colours for one last spectacle this year.’

Visitors can delight in the intimate and informal gardens set amidst glorious countryside, where late flowering perennials such as rudbeckia, verbena, aconite, dahlia and aster are in abundance.

The garden will be open every weekend in October from 10.00am until 4.00pm and the entrance fee will be at the special fundraising discounted price of £3.00. The garden tearoom, which is situated in the heart of the garden, will also be open and a selection of seasonal soups, homemade scones and hot drinks will be available to purchase.
