Family Cycling Holidays available this summer (30th May 2013)

Family Cycling Holidays available this summer

Seven castles, six rivers, five tearooms, four Iron Age hill forts, three farms, two grand country houses and lots of idyllic country lanes & farm animals are linked by 68 miles of gentle cycling over 6 days. All part of a new week long Family Farmhouse Cycle tour, exploring the unspoilt countryside around Ludlow and the Teme Valley and available this summer from Wheely Wonderful Cycling.

The six day, 5 night tour, starts at Wheely Wonderful Cycling's base Petchfield Farm near Ludlow.  The tour includes overnight stops at Clun, Ludlow and Kingsland and costs £475 for adults, and £320 for children from 3 - 14yrs.

Staying in B&B in farmhouses, or family friendly guesthouses, with all the bicycling equipment, route guides and luggage transport (and emergency help) provided.

Kay Dartnell, the owner of Wheely Wonderful Cycling says "The key to enjoying cycling with children is not to rush... pace yourself during the day & take plenty of stops with food & drink.  There is always something of interest to explore wherever you are on a cycle ride.   There are more tips and tours for Cycle Touring with children on our blog (  And its great fun to join in with Country shows and fetes whilst you are here.  Two of the best are; Clun Carnival & Village show  on the 1st Saturday in August and Purslow show on August Bank Holiday."
