Arty Farty Ale Launch (6th June 2013)

Arty Farty Ale Launch

Shropshire based brewer Hobsons Brewery based in Cleobury Mortimer has launched a special edition festival ale as part of its sponsorship for the re-launched Ludlow Arts Festival taking place 21st - 30th June in the grounds of Ludlow Castle.

What better way to enjoy the fun and frolics of the fantastic artists and entertainment at the new Ludlow Arts Festival than with a special brew by award winning brewery Hobsons.

Following a naming competition run last month, local ale drinker and CAMRA member Mike Quigley of Ludlow came up with the name Ludlow Festival Ale. To add some flare and comedy to the beer just like the shows appearing at the Ludlow Arts Festival the strapeline "Arty Farty Ale" was added.

The new festival ale is designed to be very quaffable and refreshing, perfect for festival goers to simply kick back with a pint and enjoy the music. The 4.2% real ale will be pale in appearance with an abundance of citrus and floral characteristics tantalising the taste buds.

The Hobsons festival ale will be on sale throughout the 10-day event plus local pubs in the town will be stocking the brew during the month of June including – Church Inn, The Queens, Feathers Hotel, Bridge Inn, Charlton Arms, Royal British Legion, Nelson Inn, Ye Olde Bull Ring Tavern plus the Kings Arms in Cleobury Mortimer and Sun Inn at Leintwardine. The first deliveries are heading out Tuesday 4th June, with pubs stocking the Festival Ale until the end of June.

“We’re proud to be onboard as a sponsor for the new format Ludlow Arts Festival, to get the local pubs involved in the action we decided to create a special festival ale which will be supported by a promotion. Customers can enter the weekly prize draws to win festival tickets and Hobsons 20 Years Anniversary merchandise, all you need to do is order a pint of Ludlow Festival Ale” commented Kate Pearce Marketing Manager at Hobsons Brewery.
