Summer Pruning Workshop at the Dorothy Clive Garden (14th August 2013)

The Dorothy Clive Garden is hosting a Summer Pruning Workshop this Sunday 18th August 2013 from 11am to 1pm 2013 led by gardener Zdenek Valkoun-Walker.

The workshop will include teaching on how to prune fruit trees and summer flowering shrubs and climbers. The day will have practical demonstrations underpinned with theoretical information.

The cost is £12.00 for members of the Dorothy Clive Garden/ RHS members and £15.00 for non members.

The Dorothy Clive Garden - a charitable garden trust - was set up in 1958 by Colonel Harry Clive. The objectives are to maintain, enhance and develop a garden inspired by the memory of the late Dorothy Clive to be used for the enjoyment and benefit of the public. Also to support horticultural education for the continuing benefit of both students and the general public.

The garden, originally a disused gravel quarry, was transformed by Clive into a woodland garden for his wife Dorothy, who was suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
