Dorothy Clive Garden to host open-air production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (15th August 2013)

The Dorothy Clive Garden is to host an open-air production of 'Romeo and Juliet' by William Shakespeare, performed by the Folksy Theatre Company, this Friday 16th and Saturday 17th August 2013 at 6.30pm.

The performance will take place outdoors at the top of the garden by the Belvedere Pavilion commencing at 6.30pm. Visitors are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, folding chairs to enjoy the open air production.

Gates are open from 5.00pm. Drinks can be purchased on the evening.

Event Organiser, Julia Roberts, said, ‘The Dorothy Clive Garden lends itself perfectly to an open-air Shakespeare performance. After the incredible success of the last two productions, we are thrilled to be inviting the Folksy Theatre back for a third season. The Folksy Theatre Company promise to delight and inspire their audiences with clever direction, talented actors and enormous amounts of energy and humour. ’

Tickets are available and priced at £12.00 for an adult, £8.00 for pensioners and students, £6.00 for a child and £30.00 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children).

Visitors can also delight in the intimate and informal gardens set amidst glorious countryside with seasonal plant delights such as crocosmia, daylilies and heliopsis and various other herbaceous plants.
