Build a Brood a Home (7th January 2014)

Join us in celebrating National Nest Box Week on Sunday 16th February 2014 from 12noon to 4pm at the Dorothy Clive Garden for a fun packed event promoting ‘homes for feathered friends’.

Families can make nest boxes and bird feeders to take home;  follow a bird trail and take part in a quiz; meet birds of prey such as Owls and Falcons; learn about birds, wildlife and gardening;  or join a guided ‘Nest Box Tour’  led by resident gardener and wildlife expert, Paul Watkins.

The event takes place from 12noon to 4pm on Sunday 16th February 2014. Admission is £3.50 for all. This price includes the cost of one bird box and bird feeder per child, but arrive early to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited. The garden tearoom will be open from 11am to 4pm where visitors can buy hot and cold drinks, homemade soup and a selection of delicious seasonal cakes.
