Be a Nature Detective this Easter at the Dorothy Clive Garden (7th April 2014)

The Dorothy Clive Garden will be hosting a series of educational activities for children during this Easter holidays.

Children will be able to enjoy spotting caterpillars and butterflies in the garden with a collection of Spring based ‘Nature Detective Packs’. There will also be an edible garden trail around the 12 acre hillside garden which will teach children about plants which are edible and those which are poisonous! On completing the trail, each child will be issued with a chocolate treat and a packet of vegetable seeds to take home and sow. All children are invited to come back and display their sown produce at the Dorothy Clive Garden Harvest Festival on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October 2014. http://dorothyclivegarden.co.uk/events/event/harvest-festival/

Event organiser, Julia Roberts said, ‘Spring is a fantastic time to come and explore the garden as the natural world bursts into life. This Easter, we will be providing a series of educational activities for children at the Dorothy Clive Garden. We want to provide families with an opportunity to connect with nature and learn about it at the same time.’
