Battle Of Shrewsbury Remembered This Weekend at Battlefield 1403

2nd & 3rd August 2014 10am - 4pm

If you visit Battlefield 1403 this weekend you will see the Shrewsbury re-enactment group ‘The Shrewsbury Levy’ re-enacting everyday life for the town folk of Shrewsbury when the famous battle took place in Shrewsbury.

Open from 10am until 4pm each day you can meet the archers and also have a go yourself. The cost is £2 for 6 arrows and if you hit a bulls eye you get a free go. There will also be a working kitchen preparing the meal for the troops with the cook on hand to answer any questions you may have about medieval cookery. Other demonstrations include a host of household crafts and the soldiers of the Levy will be preparing for the battle so all their weaponry and armour. This will be a fun yet informative day for all the family with free entry!
