Hundreds More Welcome at Shrewsbury Folk Festival

Organisers of Shrewsbury Folk Festival are hoping to accommodate hundreds of extra visitors this year, after swapping their usual marquee for a white-top tent.

The sold-out event takes place in Shrewsbury at the West Midlands Showground on 22nd – 25th August 2014, and the new marquee will be able to seat an additional 300 people.

Hundreds of people are expected to descend on Shrewsbury from August 22nd and artists include Bellowhead, Seth Lakeman, Lau, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, The Dhol Foundation, Steve Knightley’s Wake the Union and The Full English.

As well as music and dance, there are dozens of workshops throughout the bank holiday weekend.
