Spectacular Family Fireworks at Blists Hill Victorian Town

Saturday 1st November 2014

See the night sky spectacularly lit up over Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge on Saturday evening, 1st November when the townsfolk will be celebrating Guy Fawkes’ foiled Gunpowder Plot with a fantastic family fireworks display.

The gates open at 6pm allowing plenty of time to explore the town’s Victorian streets and atmospheric buildings. As you make your way down to the Village Green for the show, you will be able talk to the costumed residents in their cottages, shops and other places of work and hear about life in the late 1800s. In the Foundry, you can see molten iron being poured into moulds during the dramatic iron casting demonstration. The highlight of the night will be the fantastic fireworks extravaganza accompanied by music, which will start at around 7.30pm and light up the night sky.

Prices for this popular, fun and safe family event have been held from last year at £9.50 adults, £6.25 children aged 3-15 years and £29 for a family of two adults and two children. A joint family ticket for the Fireworks Night and Ghostly Gaslight on 25th October is just £52 (2 adults and 2 children). Tickets must be purchased in advance from any of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums or the Ironbridge Visitor Information Centre. They can also be bought over the telephone on 01952 433 424 and posted to you at an additional charge of £2 per order.

Visitors are advised to park at the Ironbridge Park and Ride, located at the top of Jiggers Bank (TF43QE) where a regular bus service will take them to the event for a small fee. Limited parking is available at Blists Hill Victorian Town.

All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, tickets will not be available on the gate; Ironbridge Gorge Museum Passports are not valid for this evening and dogs will not be allowed. More details can be found on
