Work of a wildlife group revealed at the Severn Valley Country Park (17th November 2014)

Natural history enthusiast, Patrick Clement is visiting Shropshire Council’s Severn Valley Country Park to share his love of practical nature conservation.

Patrick will be giving a talk based on the conservation work of the Halesowen Wildlife Group.

The talk is illustrated with Patrick’s own wildlife photographs and it will cover many subjects including badgers and foxes, nest boxes with resident Tawny Owls and Kestrels, hedge laying, pollarding and pond creation.

After 35 years working in the printing industry Patrick retired early to indulge his twin passions of natural history and photography, often combining the two. Patrick says that the talk will be suitable for a broad age range and will to be a ‘pleasing blend of information, entertainment and humour’.

Visitor centre manager, Susie Comaish says ‘we are very happy to be welcoming Patrick. His talk will be a fascinating look at conservation work. It will be interesting to see how his talk will echo the work done here at the country park’.

The talk will be held on Thursday 11th December from 7.30pm to 9pm Tickets are Adults £5 Children £3 and they include a hot drink & slice of cake. To book your place please call the visitor centre on 01746781192
