TT legend Mick Grant to share stage with Foggy at Llangollen Motorcycle Festival on August 1 (31st March 2015)

Meet two generations of heroes at North Wales bike show Seven-times TT winner Mick Grant (left) will join Carl ‘Foggy’ Fogarty MBE, the most successful World Superbike (WSB) racer of all time, as guest of honour at the Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival - LlanBikeFest 15 (www.llanbikefest.co.uk) - on Saturday, August 1st 2015.

Mick (70) is currently working with the Norton Race Team on development of the SG3 Norton racer and will appear at the North Wales bike show just weeks after the June 2105 TT races. The bike will be competing in the Superbike and Senior events, piloted by Australian Cameron Donald.

The Yorkshireman will be talking about his legendary career as a works-supported rider for Norton, Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki, and his success riding machines bikes such as the three cylinder Triumph Trident, dubbed Slippery Sam.

LlanBikeFest 15 organiser Harry Edwards said: “Mick and Foggy represent two generations of motorcycling heroes, so it will be a privilege to meet them at the show.”

The Llangollen site has previously hosted successful bike shows – the last in 2011 – but LlanBikeFest 15 is being organised by a new team of local motorcycle enthusiasts, led by Harry.

The Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival at the town’s Pavilion is set amid some of Britain’s best biking roads - at the foot of the Horseshoe Pass and its famously bike-friendly Ponderosa Café, and on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

On-site attractions will include displays, stunts, demonstrations, trade and club stands, plus beer, bands and evening entertainment. There will also be ride-outs from the site to explore some of the area’s most beautiful roads and scenery.
