Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre launches its Summer Family Activity Programme (17th July 2015)

Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre launches its Summer Family Activity Programme

The award winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre has a packed programme of family activities on offer for all the family to enjoy starting with Pirate Adventure this week.

Laura Harvey, Learning Development Officer at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre said "The Discovery Centre offers such a diverse range of activities for children and adults to learn, discover and more importantly have fun! Children will get the chance to be a pirate for the day, get back to the Stone Age and hunt a mega mammoth, have a go at some wacky science experiments and make slime. We also have a learn to ride session on Saturday 25th July, if you have a child resisting the release of those stabilisers then come along at 10am on Saturday where your child will be taught how to ride with confidence"

Check out the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre website for a full programme of events: www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk or call 01588 676060 to book.

The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre won the accolade 'Best Family Day Out – small venue'; it offers an extensive programme of family events, adult courses and a variety of activities for the whole family. The unique grass roofed building houses a replica of the famous mammoth skeleton found in Shropshire. The café serves delicious home-cooked food and an extensive shop selling a range of quirky gifts. Every half term and summer holiday the visitor attraction provides hands-on family activities. Toddlers aren't left out either, each Tuesday activities specifically aimed at younger children encourage them to explore nature and get creative.
