World War Two European Dust game championships come to Enginuity

Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October

A major two-day World War Two Dust game championship is coming to Enginuity in Coalbrookdale over the weekend of 17th and 18th October hosted by Dust Knights UK. The creator of the game 'Dust', Paolo Parente will also be attending together with other members of the renowned Dust Studio team and also present will be the 2015 World Dust Champion, Alan Davies.

International competitors in this popular, worldwide tactical war game will be using miniature models on dedicated terrain boards depicting battle scenarios from famous WW2 battles. Strategic thinking and clever manoeuvres are vital with actions led by throws of dice.

Taking place in the Engine Shop, the weekend’s ‘Dust Off’ will include gaming demonstrations, model painting and Cosplay costume competitions, a Dust merchandise stand and participatory games as well as the all important Dust Battlefield and Dust Tactics European Championships.

Games will take place over both days. Saturday will see the biggest friendly Dust game ever! There will be continuous non-stop action between 4pm and 9pm with players taking part in Operation Scorpion, a simulated, action packed mass battle during the Egyptian desert campaigns of 1947 to decide the fate of the Allied held El Alamein. All the main Championship events and competitions will be held on Sunday between 10am and 6pm.

Dust Off participants are invited and encouraged to come dressed as an existing Dust character, a 1940s civilian or military character and help bring the world of Dust to life. They can then enter the Dust Cosplay competition, parade and photo shoot, if they so wish. Re-enactors and Cosplayers dressed in 1940s costume will be present to discuss aspects of WW2 giving an insight into the period in which Dust is set.

Tickets to take part in the championship are £20 per person and available online from or registration can be done instore at Questing Knight Games, 6 Old Bakery Row, Wellington, Telford.
