The event is open to everyone with most activities free, however the team putting together the programme consisting of the Grow Cook Learn staff that run the Discovery Centre and Craven Arms Youth Forum are keen to encourage the local community to take part by offering incentives if you are a Craven Arms resident. The events’ focus is to engage with young people, showcasing all the fun and healthy things that you can do.
The event is part-sponsored by a Craven Arms company employing over 200 members of staff; Britpart is a leading independent wholesaler of parts and accessories for Land Rover vehicles. Tony Overs, Finance Director at Britpart said ‘As a local company, Britpart is very pleased to be able to help sponsor the Fit4Life Youth Heath Day on 24th October at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre. Leading a healthy lifestyle is important for all of us, and any event which promotes healthy living to our younger generation should be encouraged, we hope it’s a fun informative day for everyone attending’.
The event starts at 1.30pm, full programme can be found on the website www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk or call 01588 676060.
