Storytime in the Dingle at Dudmaston (5th May 2016)

Storytime in the Dingle at Dudmaston

Follow our storyteller down into the Dingle and enjoy tales inspired by our oldest trees. Sunday, 8 May, 10.45am – 12 noon

Storyteller Simon will be leading visitors down to the Dingle at Dudmaston on Sunday 8 May, spinning a tale inspired by our oldest trees as he goes.

Entitled ‘What the trees saw’, Sunday’s story walk promises to engage your imaginations and open your eyes to some of the estate’s oldest inhabitants. Listen to tales inspired by the trees in the Dingle, including our 1000 year old yew. What might they have seen over their many years rooted in the Dudmaston Estate? Just imagine the seasons they’ve seen come and go, and the wildlife that’s lived there.

Marketing and Events Officer, Alexandra Blakeman said: “There’s no time for sitting comfortably at Dudmaston this Sunday. Storyteller Simon will have everyone on their feet, ready for a story time with a difference. Listen as Simon brings to life our woodland’s oldest and darkest secrets. He has a real talent for performing, and the way he weaves fact and fiction into his stories is really engaging and imaginative.”

If you fancy making a day of it, there are plenty of other things happening at Dudmaston, including our brand new exhibition ‘Ancient Meets Modern’ in Gallery 2 which reveals everyday objects, owned by the people who previously lived on the estate.

Adults £6 and children £3. Booking is essential. Go to our website or phone 01746 780866.
