“Free From” Cookery Course at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre (8th August 2017)

“Free From” Cookery Course at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

Back by popular demand, Milly Rees returns to the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre with her Free From Gluten and Dairy Cookery Course.

Providing you with tasty dishes to take away as well as all of the easy to follow recipes, feel inspired to give them a go and share your skills at home with family and friends.

Eating less wheat and dairy is a choice for some and for others, a necessity. Coming up with new ideas is not always easy but Milly Rees will be sharing her extensive knowledge, using the best seasonal produce as we move from Summer into Autumn. Using alternative ingredients, you will create delicious breakfasts, lunches, suppers and snacks that everyone can enjoy, whatever their diet, all gluten and dairy free. All the dishes will be vegetarian so are also perfect if you want to cut down on the amount of meat in your diet.

Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is run by local charity, Grow Cook Learn and the charity has been making the most of their pop up kitchen, sponsored by Ludlow Food Festival. The cookery courses launched early last year and have proven to be very popular with locals and visitors alike, of all ages. The charity’s aim is to connect people to the food, history and landscape of the Shropshire Hills and they are thrilled to have seen the cookery courses take off as they have.

Jade Marriott-Lodge, Marketing and Development Manager at the Centre says, “It is great to see locals and visitors come together for these delicious cookery courses. Milly is fantastic and very popular with our cookery course groups. The first gluten free session was very well received so we look forward to this next one where Milly will be doing a whole range of new dishes.”

Spaces are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

Praise for Milly includes:

“Excellent recipes, sensible and easy.” “Inspiring and fun, with lots of goodies to take away!”

Entry to the Discovery Centre and Onny Meadows is free but there is a charge for visitors to enjoy our Secret Hills exhibition and visit our mammoth.
